Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; hybrid, with three full business days per week in the office.

Salary: $187,800–$257,400 annual base salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Integrate AI/ML models and agents into the platform and support their deployment.
• Build and maintain APIs and microservices for AI model and agent deployment and data processing.
• Write maintainable code focused on performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot platform performance, integration, and reliability issues in a continuous deployment environment.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Contribute to AI platform architecture, systems, and workflow improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of backend development experience using Python, TypeScript, or Java.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and services.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience using Git for version control and collaborating in an agile environment.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in an AI/ML-related field.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, or agentic AI.
• Understanding of database systems and data processing technologies.
• Familiarity with Generative AI technologies.
• Experience building and managing infrastructure with Terraform or CloudFormation across AWS and other cloud platforms.
• Experience driving CI/CD automation and observability using Datadog, Sentry, and related tools.
• Frontend development experience with React and TypeScript.
