Senior Lead Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Translate complex requirements into maintainable, scalable, documented software for the Revenue Connect cloud platform.
• Design, develop, operate, and optimize distributed pricing and billing services using cloud services, algorithms, and data.
• Implement AI-powered capabilities, including model-driven decisions, anomaly detection, forecasting, optimization, and LLM-powered experiences.
• Improve platform reliability through testing, observability, secure deployments, troubleshooting, and production on-call support.
• Lead code and design reviews covering maintainability, security, performance, and AI safety.
• Partner with engineering, product, design, security, and compliance teams; mentor junior engineers and support AI upskilling.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, plus typically 5 or more years of relevant professional experience or a combination of work experience and advanced education.
• Production experience shipping AI-enabled features and applying MLOps practices.
• Proficiency in at least one modern development framework or language, such as Java.
• Experience leading projects from architectural design through production and maintaining high technical standards across a team.
• Expertise in at least one relevant area, including fintech, distributed systems, databases, security, or front-end development.
• Knowledge of security, privacy, compliance, encryption, least-privilege access, secrets management, auditability, and AI safety for financial data.
• Experience with Git and DevOps practices including continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder influence, leadership, and mentoring experience.

Nice to have

• Ability to self-direct technical work and scope projects effectively.
• Experience leading and mentoring junior engineers.
• Prior fintech or billing and analysis systems experience, or experience with large-scale anomaly detection and optimization problems.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs, RAG pipelines, model evaluation, or anomaly detection into production systems.
• Deep expertise in cloud-based financial platforms, modern development frameworks, Git, CI/CD, and enterprise security practices.
