Senior Full Stack Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote in the US; up to 10% travel may be required for project kickoffs and annual company meetings.

Base salary: $170,000–$235,000 annually, with additional equity in the form of stock options.

hirify.global is a remote cybersecurity product company developing the NodeZero platform for production-safe autonomous penetration testing and assessment operations across internal, external, cloud, and hybrid cloud environments.

What you will do

• Build and ship product capabilities across backend services, APIs, and modern web application interfaces.
• Own moderate-to-large projects end-to-end, including scoping, technical design, implementation, rollout, and iteration.
• Develop clear, maintainable, performant user experiences aligned with product requirements and design direction.
• Partner with Product, Design, and adjacent engineering teams on cross-functional initiatives.
• Identify technical risks, blockers, and scope issues; contribute to architecture, design discussions, documentation, testing, and code reviews.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and improve engineering quality, execution, and product experience.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional experience building and operating production software across backend and frontend layers.
• Backend development experience with at least one of Go, Rust, Python, Java, TypeScript, or a similar modern language.
• Frontend development experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Experience with SQL-based relational databases in production, data modeling, persistence layers, and scalable product systems.
• Experience building backend services on AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud platform, plus familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
• Experience designing and operating APIs, services, asynchronous or event-driven systems, and cloud-native application deployments.
• Experience with observability, reliability, operational best practices, technical design documents, architectural proposals, and engineering standards.
• Ability to independently drive substantial work from an ambiguous problem statement through delivery, communicate technical tradeoffs clearly, mentor engineers, and balance competing priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with PostgreSQL and performance tuning for large datasets.
• Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j or interest in learning them.
• Experience building or consuming GraphQL backends.
• Experience with ETL pipelines and data-processing tools, including Airflow-like frameworks or custom ETL jobs.
• Experience with observability stacks such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana, and service instrumentation.
• Experience in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, exposure management, security analytics, security data platforms, security telemetry, or adjacent domains.
• Familiarity with risk scoring, prioritization systems, or data-intensive backend workflows.
• Experience partnering with product managers to define and sequence an MVP, defining technical standards beyond the immediate team, or shaping technical direction across an organization.
