Fullstack Engineer 4 (Vue)

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States; hybrid with required on-site presence at the designated office location.

Salary: $197,300–$225,100 per year for full-time work in McLean, VA; eligible for performance-based incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead a portfolio of technology projects and guide developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems that support regulatory needs.
• Build and deliver cloud-based fraud-servicing experiences and configuration-driven intelligent workflow capabilities for agents and customers.
• Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
• Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, mentor engineers, and contribute to internal and external technology communities.
• Identify opportunities for refactoring, technical-debt reduction, performance optimization, and long-term technology strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field, including Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• At least 4 years of software-engineering experience, excluding internships.
• At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
• Ability to work with programming languages including Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript; open-source relational and NoSQL databases; Docker and Kubernetes; and AWS services.
• Experience with distributed microservices, full-stack systems, cloud-based solutions, and Agile delivery.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
• 3+ years with databases and database management systems; AWS, GCP, Azure, cloud productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
• 4+ years contributing to open-source frameworks and 3+ years with front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
• 4+ years creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs.
• 3+ years with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
• 3+ years troubleshooting technical issues in cloud environments.
• Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, interactive AI productivity tooling beyond basic code completion, observability, and optimizing distributed-system performance bottlenecks.
• Experience mentoring engineers, leading cross-functional engineering efforts or large-scale technical initiatives, and establishing coding standards and design patterns across teams.
