Full-stack Developer (Vue)

Location: Remote; Thomasville, North Carolina, US. Candidates in North Carolina, or able to be in Charlotte occasionally, are preferred.

Salary: $165,000–$180,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own APIs, infrastructure, and user interfaces across development, QA, and production.
• Build and operate Python and FastAPI services using Amazon Bedrock, including multimodal models for document extraction and investigative service recommendations.
• Maintain AWS infrastructure using SAM and CloudFormation across API Gateway, Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL Serverless, S3, SQS, DynamoDB, and ECS.
• Architect and modernize the .NET 8 case-management platform and guide the video API, Angular front end, and Python GPU search service.
• Own cross-platform integration, including single sign-on, case and video linkage, and data flows between systems.
• Set engineering standards, lead architecture reviews, coach engineers, support hiring and onboarding, and partner with operations and leadership on priorities, estimates, risks, and tradeoffs.

Requirements

• 12 or more years of professional software engineering experience, including technical ownership of production systems.
• Player-coach experience combining substantial production delivery with technical leadership and mentoring.
• Strong production experience with C#/.NET, ASP.NET Core, Python, and FastAPI or a comparable framework.
• Strong TypeScript experience and experience with at least one of React, Vue, or Angular, with the ability to review work in the others.
• Deep AWS experience including ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS or Aurora, CloudFront, SQS, Step Functions, IAM, and VPC networking.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, containerized deployment, and performance tuning in SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with OIDC, OAuth2, JWT, cross-application single sign-on, least-privilege IAM, and secure file handling.
• Proven ability to modernize a legacy system without stopping business operations.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including explaining tradeoffs to non-engineers.

Nice to have

• Production generative AI experience, ideally Amazon Bedrock, including multimodal prompting, evaluation, document extraction, and cost control.
• Experience with video or media pipelines, HLS, MediaConvert, CloudFront signed access, and S3 lifecycle or archival strategies.
• Computer vision or GPU workload experience with technologies such as InsightFace, ONNX Runtime, CUDA, or GPU containers on ECS.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub workflows, NetSuite, Twilio, or Microsoft Graph.
• Insurance, claims, investigations, or another regulated domain involving sensitive personal data and evidence.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve individual and team output.
