Manufacturing Product Transfer Manager

Location: Wilton, Connecticut, United States; onsite. Legal authorization to access United States-controlled technology is required before starting work.

Base annual salary: $135,375–$198,000.

What you will do

• Assess the supplier landscape and align it with the Wilton factories’ strategic portfolio and long-term manufacturing roadmap.
• Evaluate make-or-buy decisions based on manufacturing capabilities, cost, time to market, and competitive advantage.
• Identify and establish outsourcing projects, prepare business cases, evaluate cost initiatives, and secure CAPEX, OPEX, and cross-sector support.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers against quality, cost, and delivery requirements while building strategic supplier relationships.
• Work with factory facilities planning to assess expansion plans, space, and capacity constraints.
• Lead cross-functional teams, communicate plans to management, escalate barriers, and coach and develop employees.

Requirements

• BS in engineering, sciences, or another technical field with 7+ years of experience in a project leadership role, or a related technical master’s degree with 3+ years of project leadership experience.
• At least 5 years of experience working with internal or external customers at a technical and task-management level.
• Experience building and maintaining strategic supplier relationships.
• Experience managing and coaching professionals in a production or operations environment.
• Strong analytical, process-oriented, business, communication, negotiation, influencing, and strategic planning skills.
• Ability to work proactively under pressure, think creatively, drive solutions, and maintain a results-oriented, hands-on approach.
• Experience with new product introduction in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with lean and Six Sigma manufacturing methodologies, project management, and people management.
