Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote from Colombia; availability required from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM Colombia time.

What you will do

• Design and operate AWS infrastructure using core IaaS and PaaS services, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and automation practices.
• Improve platform reliability, security, scalability, and delivery speed through repeatable environments and operational standards.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, SREs, platform engineers, and client stakeholders to align DevOps solutions with business and technical goals.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, branching models, and deployment strategies using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or AWS-native tooling.
• Manage Kubernetes workloads in Amazon EKS or vanilla clusters, including Helm charts and production troubleshooting.
• Implement infrastructure automation, configuration management, monitoring, logging, metrics, and alerts, and support modernization, migration, resilience, and cost-optimization initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a DevOps, SRE, or platform engineer, including 4+ years in cloud-based delivery.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS services including IAM, VPC, NAT Gateway, ELB, EC2, S3, ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, WAF, Network Firewall, RDS, and DynamoDB.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Amazon EKS or vanilla clusters, Helm charts, and production workload operations.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using Terraform, CDK, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack.
• Solid background in Linux administration, networking, TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTPS, TLS certificates, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
• Practical scripting skills with Python or Bash.
• Practical understanding of observability platforms, cloud well-architected practices, and cloud adoption frameworks.
• Clear communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated B2+ English proficiency in written and spoken communication.
• Availability to work from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM Colombia time.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, or Go.
• Experience with AI-based products or ML teams.
