AWS Cloud Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate large-scale, secure, and highly available AWS cloud platforms.
• Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
• Design and operate Amazon EKS or ECS clusters at scale.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application workloads.
• Build cloud-native observability, monitoring, and alerting capabilities.
• Partner with application, security, and SRE teams to deliver resilient production workloads.

Requirements

• 10+ years of cloud engineering experience, including at least 3 years working with AWS in production.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong experience with EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, and CloudFormation.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security, IAM, encryption, key management, compliance, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation.
• U.S. work authorization is required; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or DevOps Engineer – Professional certification.
• Experience with multi-account AWS Organizations and centralized governance.
• Familiarity with service mesh, eBPF-based observability, zero-trust networking, and FinOps.
• Experience operating regulated workloads such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or FedRAMP environments.
• Familiarity with Go or PowerShell.
