Strategic Sourcing Specialist - Technology & Digital Services (AI)

Location: Madrid, Spain; flexible workplace; occasional early morning or evening meetings and approximately 10–15% travel may be required.

What you will do

• Manage global sourcing projects across software, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, telecommunications, AI, managed services, digital transformation, and technology consulting.
• Lead RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, market assessments, commercial negotiations, supplier selection, contracting, implementation, and onboarding.
• Negotiate and manage software agreements, SaaS subscriptions, cloud agreements, MSAs, SOWs, amendments, renewals, and outsourcing agreements.
• Support supplier governance, performance management, contract compliance, risk assessments, renewal strategies, audit reviews, and issue resolution.
• Support TSA exits, supplier transitions, replacement technology implementation, Day 2 country onboarding, and business continuity.
• Contribute to procurement transformation, governance, process improvements, procurement technology implementations, and scalable global procurement capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, technology contracting, supplier management, or related disciplines.
• Experience sourcing technology products and services, including software, SaaS, cloud solutions, managed services, cybersecurity, infrastructure, telecommunications, outsourcing, and technology consulting.
• Demonstrated success leading sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, and complex contracting activities.
• Strong understanding of software licensing models, SaaS commercial structures, cloud consumption models, and technology contracting practices.
• Strong commercial acumen, supplier relationship management, project management, analytical, communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, coordinate stakeholders, and operate across multiple regions and time zones.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills, including leading meetings, preparing executive communications, presenting recommendations, and negotiating with suppliers.
• Experience collaborating with Legal, Privacy, Cybersecurity, Finance, PMO, and Digital Technology stakeholders; adaptability in a rapidly changing organization.

Nice to have

• Experience sourcing enterprise software, ERP, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, AI technologies, telecommunications, data and analytics platforms, or managed services.
• Experience with digital transformation, SAP, ERP, cloud migration, AI deployment, application modernization, TSA exits, carve-outs, spin-offs, mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale transformation initiatives.
• Experience onboarding suppliers in new countries or regions and managing supplier governance, business continuity, and technology risk.
• Experience with procurement digitization, workflow automation, intake management, spend analytics, SAP, Ariba, Coupa, VNDLY, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
• Experience in healthcare, medical devices, manufacturing, biotechnology, life sciences, or other regulated industries.
• Knowledge of GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other technology compliance and security frameworks.
• Global sourcing experience in a multinational and highly matrixed environment.
• Ability to travel occasionally, approximately 10–15%, for supplier meetings, technology initiatives, and key business locations.
