Assurance Senior Manager (Audit)

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid workstyle aligned to an hirify.global office with in-person collaboration based on client, team, development, or relationship-building needs. Willingness to travel 10% of the year depending on client requirements.

Compensation range: $119,100–$239,300 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.

What you will do

• Coordinate audits of required financial statements, related disclosures, and client deliverables while providing timely, high-quality client service.
• Assess engagement risks, design and communicate audit procedures, apply hirify.global’s Audit Methodology, and identify technical accounting matters.
• Manage multiple engagements, monitor milestones, review work products, assess resources, and maintain project profitability.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and evaluate Senior Associates, Supervisors, and Managers; support training and career development initiatives.
• Build year-round client relationships, understand client goals and strategies, address concerns, provide business advice, and identify opportunities for introductions to other firm services.
• Keep current with GAAP, firm standards and policies, industry developments, and professional education while supporting business growth through external relationships.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in Accounting or an equivalent degree.
• CPA, CA, or ACCA certification.
• 8+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment.
• Experience leading teams and mentoring associates.
• Understanding of audit services and knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and FASB or IFRS regulations.
• Previous experience auditing consumer products companies.
• Proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
