Junior Expansion Project Analyst – Global Supply Management (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Dresden, Germany; on-site role supporting Dresden manufacturing operations. Assistance with relocation to Dresden is provided.

What you will do

• Support procurement workstreams for manufacturing equipment, materials, and services across equipment and materials commodity teams.
• Maintain project plans, action lists, meeting minutes, sourcing documentation, procurement schedules, reports, and dashboards.
• Assist with RFQs, bid comparisons, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, cost analyses, and negotiation materials.
• Track requirements, milestones, budgets, purchase-order confirmations, production status, logistics, deliveries, and material availability.
• Coordinate specifications, quantities, delivery dates, samples, technical documentation, quality requirements, and approvals with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Identify and escalate shortages, delays, cost deviations, supply risks, documentation issues, and other procurement exceptions; support supplier qualification, onboarding, contract administration, change orders, claims, and invoice discrepancy resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Good written and verbal command of English and German at C1 level.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work with data and translate findings into clear conclusions.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a structured manner.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Interest in a technical, manufacturing, and project-driven environment.

Nice to have

• Practical experience from internships, working student positions, university projects, or similar work in project management, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related area.
• Basic understanding of project management, procurement, supply chain, or supplier management processes.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing or another high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with materials, technical specifications, or quality requirements in manufacturing.
