Senior Solutions Engineer (Shopify)

Location: Remote - ANZ; must be based in Australia and able to travel for customer meetings, partner engagements, and team events.

What you will do

• Run deep discovery with merchants and partners to map workflows, systems, constraints, risks, and success metrics.
• Design practical solution architectures across hirify.global's commerce stack and adjacent ERP, OMS, payments, and integration systems, including legacy-platform migration paths.
• Create tailored demos, prototypes, diagrams, workshops, and technical narratives connecting hirify.global capabilities to merchant outcomes.
• Partner with Account Executives, Solution Partners, Product, Launch, and CSM teams to shape opportunity strategy, remove blockers, and share field insights.
• Use AI for merchant research, transcript synthesis, demo planning, and technical validation while building reusable tools, prompts, and workflows.
• Apply judgment to decide when to go deeper, simplify, involve specialists, or challenge assumptions.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical consulting, solutions architecture, or commerce technology implementation.
• Technical fluency across APIs, integrations, data flows, authentication, webhooks, and modern SaaS architecture.
• Strong requirements discovery skills and the ability to translate complex customer needs into clear technical requirements and scalable solutions across hirify.global and adjacent systems.
• Commercial judgment connecting technical recommendations to revenue growth, operational efficiency, customer experience, and risk reduction.
• Clear written and verbal communication for executive and technical audiences.
• Strong stakeholder influence, including building trust and navigating technical, executive, and partner relationships.
• Comfort with ambiguity and self-directed learning in a fast-moving, regionally distributed team.
• Practical use of AI tools without treating them as a substitute for technical thinking or customer empathy.
• Based in Australia and able to travel for customer meetings, partner engagements, and team events.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global, commerce platforms, POS, B2B, retail operations, or integration-heavy environments, particularly in ANZ enterprise or mid-market sales cycles.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, Liquid, React, GraphQL, REST APIs, SQL, or similar technologies for prototypes, scripts, demo stores, and proof points.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development or workflow tools such as Claude, Cursor, Gemini, or NotebookLM.
• Experience creating reusable assets, enablement, or internal systems that improve team effectiveness.
