Operations Engineer (FinTech)

Location: Hybrid or remote in the UK and US; office-based in Singapore. Candidates must have the existing right to work in the country associated with the advertised location. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Monitor live trading systems across regions, venues, and asset classes; triage alerts and own Level 1 and Level 2 incident response.
• Investigate production issues, coordinate incidents, execute runbook actions, and support failover and disaster-recovery readiness.
• Deliver production changes for clients, liquidity providers, venues, and platform capabilities, including FIX sessions, configuration, ACL coordination, and post-release verification.
• Execute technical client and liquidity-provider onboarding, including credentials, IPs, conformance and UAT testing, cross-connects, and go-live verification.
• Monitor FIX message flows and coordinate with engineering, infrastructure, vendors, counterparties, and Client Services.
• Improve operational tooling, automation, runbooks, documentation, and AI-assisted investigation and knowledge systems.

Requirements

• 2+ years of operations or production-support experience within trading or FinTech.
• Working knowledge of FIX protocol, ideally in FX or electronic-trading environments.
• Understanding of trading infrastructure, networking, and low-latency connectivity.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools in live production environments.
• Linux fundamentals and experience with configuration-as-code using Git and structured configuration such as YAML.
• Scripting and automation experience with Bash and Python, including the ability to read and write working scripts.
• Ability to take ownership of production issues, remain calm under pressure, communicate clearly, document operational knowledge, and improve recurring problems.
• Curiosity about and willingness to use AI tooling for incident investigation, documentation, and operational improvement.
• Existing right to work in the UK, US, or Singapore, depending on the advertised location.
