Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

Salary: $178,320–$222,900 USD annual base compensation

What you will do

• Design and deliver complex, user-facing Calendar features across the full stack, from initial idea through production.
• Create robust, scalable, and easy-to-use solutions with a product-focused builder mindset.
• Partner with Product to understand customer needs, define features, and identify problems before release.
• Build with Ruby on Rails or Python and establish engineering standards, component architectures, and development best practices.
• Mentor engineers and deliver high-quality products in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Requirements

• 6+ years of senior-level full-stack engineering experience with deep, hands-on Ruby on Rails expertise.
• Proven experience taking ambiguous and complex problems to reliable production systems serving millions of users.
• Production-tested experience with Ember.js or React and their ecosystems, with the ability to work across platforms and frameworks.
• Strong systems-design judgment across APIs, SQL, multi-platform distributed systems, observability, and reliability.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with remote teams using GitHub, Slack, Notion, and Zoom.
• Advanced, hands-on fluency with AI coding tools such as Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code.
• High agency and end-to-end ownership of quality, reliability, and operational excellence.

Nice to have

• Web application security and PCI or HIPAA compliance experience.
• Production troubleshooting and infrastructure experience with Docker, MySQL, Postgres, Redis, NGINX, AWS, Linux, and Terraform or Ansible.
