Full Stack Software Engineer (Python)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Python Flask backend services powering the TimeKeeper platform.
• Develop and improve APIs, data models, and Postgres queries with a focus on reliability and performance.
• Shape and deliver features with customer feedback and collaborate with web and mobile engineers.
• Write automated tests, investigate issues, fix bugs, and review pull requests.
• Contribute to infrastructure and deployment work across AWS, Terraform, and Redis.
• Prioritise multiple tasks, learn new topics, and contribute to positive working relationships.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer with a strong backend focus.
• Professional experience building and maintaining backend services and APIs in Python.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience writing automated tests and reviewing code.
• Comfort working alongside AI tools and curiosity about improving work through technology.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python frameworks and libraries such as Flask, Django, or SQLAlchemy.
• Relevant AWS infrastructure experience, including Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Production experience with Postgres and Redis.
• Familiarity with React or React Native sufficient for effective collaboration with front-end colleagues.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
