Software Engineer (Python/React)

Location: Remote from the United States or Canada; availability required for coordination hours Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm Pacific Time.

Salary: US candidates: $97,600–$139,000 USD annually plus equity and benefits. Canadian candidates: CAD $125,320–$142,783 for Toronto and Vancouver, or CAD $116,965–$133,264 for other Canadian locations, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop full-stack applications and core product features using Python and React.
• Build features that improve user engagement, growth, AI-generated content, content moderation, and creator experience.
• Design and launch product features at massive scale, using data and experimentation to guide iterations.
• Drive projects from ideation through production and collaborate with designers, product managers, engineers, and data scientists.
• Analyze product impact and contribute to reliable, high-quality services through the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Be a 2025 or 2026 graduate, or be pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Have a foundational understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design through coursework or practical experience.
• Have experience with Python or a similar programming language, or the ability to learn quickly.
• Have previous software engineering experience through an internship, work experience, and/or coding competition.
• Be available for meetings and impromptu communication during coordination hours Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm Pacific Time.
• Have a passion for learning and continuously improving yourself and the team.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python, React, TypeScript, and/or SQL.

• Curiosity about AI and hands-on experience exploring AI tools or building AI-powered projects through coursework, personal projects, or previous work.
