Senior Actuarial Analyst (Insurance)

What you will do

• Provide actuarial support to help the business grow profitably and take remedial action where needed.
• Produce transactional pricing analysis for accounts within agreed timescales, working closely with underwriters.
• Develop and enhance technical pricing tools while considering local market requirements.
• Monitor renewal and new-business rates, maintain and regularly review technical pricing models, and track justified deviations.
• Report performance at account and rating-factor level so underwriters can optimize results.
• Ensure pricing and monitoring data is complete, accurate, adequate, and timely, while complying with regulatory and risk-management procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics or Actuarial Science.
• Part-qualified actuary status.
• At least 2 years of actuarial experience in pricing or reserving.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Strong coding ability in VBA, R, or Python.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with other business areas.
• Ability to work independently and remain flexible to meet business needs.
