Sr Associate AI Fullstack Software Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid in Columbus, OH; priority given to candidates residing in the Atlanta, GA, or Columbus, OH metropolitan areas. Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

What you will do

• Develop and deliver AI-driven enterprise-quality software applications across front-end, back-end, and AI integration layers.
• Build scalable applications integrating LLMs and AI tools including voice recognition, document parsing, image parsing, text-to-speech, and RAG into new and legacy codebases.
• Design and optimize data pipelines and datasets for AI development and testing.
• Craft, cache, maintain, and benchmark prompts; fine-tune and serve GPT-family and Llama models.
• Develop AI agents with Semantic Kernel and prototype copilot experiences and autonomous workflows.
• Document code and applications, communicate AI concepts to non-technical audiences, and collaborate with internal staff and external stakeholders on large projects.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of software development experience.
• At least 2 years of experience developing AI-enhanced applications using LLMs, voice, image, or speech models.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in AI system evaluation and optimization, including precision, recall, F1-score, AUC-ROC, and MLOps for scalable and cost-efficient deployment.
• Experience building RAG systems from scratch or with LangChain or LlamaIndex and using vector databases for context-aware LLM applications.
• Expertise in LLM cost optimization through prompt caching, batching, and quantization, plus knowledge of GPT-3.5, GPT-4, o1, and thinking models for model selection and tuning.
• Strong analytical skills, experience with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Codeium/Windsurf, and proficiency in Python and AI libraries including OpenAI, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Healthcare domain expertise and the ability to translate clinical and business needs into AI solutions.
• Proficiency creating Node web applications such as Express, experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, and experience with Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with technical, DevOps, and product management teams; ability to learn and adapt in a changing environment and solve complex problems.
