Senior Software Engineer / Senior AI Engineer (AI)

Location: Philadelphia, United States

Salary: $86,600–$144,400 annual base pay, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Build prototypes, proofs of concept, and production-grade agentic AI solutions within defined technical approaches.
• Implement and test RAG pipelines, tool use, agent workflows, memory, and retrieval capabilities.
• Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise systems, APIs, data pipelines, and existing business workflows.
• Contribute to evaluation, observability, guardrails, outcome measurement, and baseline-based productivity and quality metrics.
• Maintain high-quality, reusable code and documentation, including reference implementations and starter kits.
• Collaborate with technical peers and host-function stakeholders, identify risks early, and support solution handover and operational ownership.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on production experience building LLM-powered applications, including RAG, tool-augmented agents, or agentic workflows.
• Experience with prompt engineering, context management, agent memory, tools, retrieval, evaluation, and observability.
• Experience integrating AI into enterprise systems through APIs and data pipelines.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP; CI/CD; modern SDLC; TDD; and code review.
• Experience with relational, columnar, and vector data stores and sound data-modelling principles.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, TypeScript or JavaScript, SQL, and relevant AI SDKs, with clear communication skills.
