Senior Software Engineer / Senior AI Engineer (AI)

Location: Philadelphia, United States

Salary: $86,600–$144,400 annual base pay, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Build prototypes, proofs of concept, and production-ready agentic AI solutions within cross-functional Innovation Squads.
• Implement and test tool use, retrieval pipelines, agent workflows, memory, and context management.
• Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise systems through APIs and data pipelines.
• Contribute to evaluation, observability, guardrails, outcome measurement, and baseline comparisons.
• Maintain high-quality code and documentation while creating reusable patterns, reference implementations, and starter kits.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical peers, identify risks early, and support solution handover and operational ownership.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, including production LLM-powered applications using RAG, tool-augmented agents, or agentic workflows.
• Experience with prompt engineering, context management, agent memory, tools, retrieval, evaluation, and observability.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, TypeScript or JavaScript, SQL, and relevant AI SDKs.
• Experience integrating AI into enterprise systems and working with APIs, data pipelines, relational, columnar, and vector stores.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with CI/CD, modern SDLC, TDD, code review, and sound data modelling.
• Ability to work autonomously, communicate clearly, deliver in time-boxed cycles, and measure usage, productivity, and quality outcomes.
