Senior AI Engineer

Location: Fully remote within the USA; final interviews are required at the Chattanooga, Tennessee headquarters.

What you will do

• Lead the ideation, development, and productionalization of AI solutions for healthcare payer use cases.
• Design and implement AI models, algorithms, platform capabilities, MCP services, and enterprise integrations.
• Deploy scalable AI systems and model-serving code in production cloud environments.
• Partner with product teams and business stakeholders to translate workflows into AI-enabled automation.
• Define model evaluation and validation frameworks covering accuracy, reliability, fairness, and performance.
• Advise internal lines of business and mentor junior engineers on AI development and system design.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA; final interviews at the Chattanooga headquarters are required.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience and 3+ years of hands-on machine learning, deep learning, or AI model experience.
• Expert Python skills and experience with machine learning, deep learning, NLP, large datasets, and data science pipelines.
• Experience deploying and managing machine learning models in cloud environments; GCP Vertex AI is preferred, with AWS SageMaker or Azure ML also accepted.

Nice to have

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Experience with LLMs, diffusion models, Hugging Face Transformers, AI agents, MCP, or tool calling.
