Supply Chain Planning Analyst

Location: Suzhou, Jiangsu, China. The position requires working onsite in the office five days a week.

What you will do

• Coordinate the flow and transfer of materials within the manufacturing facility, including inventory and warehouse movements.
• Develop and execute material planning for an assigned product line, ensuring requirements are met within allocated time frames.
• Schedule and control material releases while monitoring inventory in the plant, warehouse, and at critical suppliers.
• Build and follow up on procurement plan execution to align with business objectives.
• Track and analyze supplier performance metrics and collaborate and negotiate with suppliers to secure required deliveries.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of accuracy and attention to detail, including procedures for mistake-free work and the consequences of errors.
• Basic analytical thinking skills, including knowledge of analysis techniques, business analytics applications, and root-cause problem solving.
• Basic knowledge of Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP), including inventory distribution across plants or warehouses, operational performance, bottlenecks, distribution centers, and material movement.
• Basic knowledge of forecasting tools and practices, demand estimation, production requirements, forecasting information sources, and forecasting metrics.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing inventory management for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, including tools, reports, seasonal adjustments, and benchmarks.
• Basic knowledge of Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP), including capacity and materials management, product life cycles, production runs, bills of materials, and supply documentation.
• Basic problem-solving knowledge, including problem reporting, escalation, analysis, and resolution procedures.
• Basic supplier management knowledge for raw materials or product components, including supplier transactions, agreements, selection processes, and stakeholder responsibilities.
