What you will do

• Architect and implement computer vision and autonomy algorithms running on hirify.global drones.
• Take direct ownership of a research project that advances the software and products.
• Research, prototype, and assess the feasibility of new approaches for intelligent autonomous systems.
• Design and implement features that expand drone capabilities for users.
• Characterize and quantify the performance of core software and hardware components.

Requirements

• PhD student with a strong foundation in mathematics, theory, and software development, supported by relevant research.
• High proficiency in C++ and/or Python.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for one or more of: computer vision, deep learning, motion planning, dynamics and controls, 3D graphics, embedded software or firmware, distributed systems, tools or infrastructure, and mobile.
• Solid software engineering foundation and commitment to writing clean, well-architected code.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, small-team environment.
