Staff Engineer (OQ&A; Reliability)

Location: Onsite at the Korat facility, Thailand. Travel: None.

What you will do

• Manage HDD product reliability performance throughout the product life cycle and oversee multiple product-family reliability growth and demonstration tests.
• Coordinate reliability test plans, product verification and validation plans, reliability goals, and design margins with global product development and design teams.
• Apply end-to-end data analytics, reliability models, and failure analysis to identify root causes, validate findings, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Communicate reliability performance and status to internal and external customers and executive management.
• Lead, mentor, and coach reliability engineers, test engineers, and lab/test technicians, including providing reliability training.
• Collaborate with global partners, test labs, and technical experts to implement reliability strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Statistics, or a related field, and/or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of reliability engineering and reliability analysis.
• Understanding of disk drive fundamentals.
• Experience with internal and external customer communication and customer service.
• Experience managing priorities and adapting to constantly changing priorities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Thai and English.
• Willingness to work closely with international and local teams.
• A body of work demonstrating integrity, inclusion, and innovation.
