Senior Engineer (Factory Sustainable Engineering)

Location: Teparuk, Thailand. Onsite role; travel is not required.

Technology manufacturer producing nano-recording heads, a critical component for hard disk drive read/write functionality.

What you will do

• Support tooling development, process optimization, factory automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to manufacturing productivity, quality, cost, and equipment performance improvements.
• Own cross-functional engineering projects and manage multiple priorities against safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Apply data analysis, statistical methods, root-cause analysis, and process capability techniques.
• Coach others, share knowledge, and contribute to continuous learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Electrical, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant engineering experience in manufacturing, tooling, process engineering, automation, equipment engineering, or continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, process capability, statistical analysis, and root-cause methodologies.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of cross-functional engineering projects, manage multiple priorities, and maintain safety, quality, cost, and schedule requirements.
• Good communication and collaboration skills across functions.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Thai.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, DOE, FMEA, OEE, and project management.
• Experience analyzing and visualizing data with Excel, JMP, or Minitab; using engineering drawings and CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or equivalent software; and performing cost-benefit analysis, ROI estimation, validation planning, and technical reporting.
• Experience with cross-functional engineering projects producing measurable operational or financial impact.

Nice to have

• Experience in high-volume manufacturing, electronics, precision assembly, automation, sensors, machine data acquisition, industrial controls, or digital manufacturing.
