Staff Product Designer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, US; hybrid, with 3 days per week in the office for a full typical business day.

Annual salary: $195K–$270K, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead design direction and product strategy across complex enterprise problem spaces, connecting user needs, business goals, and technical possibilities.
• Design B2B web applications, operational workflows, integrations, self-service experiences, and AI-enabled tools for clients, partners, operators, and internal teams.
• Simplify complex workflows, reduce manual effort, improve response times, standardize outcomes, and increase automation coverage.
• Use research, data, prototyping, experimentation, and emerging tools to explore opportunities and improve product outcomes.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Customer Success, Operations, and other cross-functional teams from concept through execution.
• Mentor designers, contribute to scalable design systems, and champion accessible and inclusive design.

Requirements

• Expertise in interaction and visual design, with a track record of advancing design craft and shipping impactful product experiences.
• Experience leading ambiguous problem spaces, setting product vision, and defining design strategy across products or platforms.
• Proficiency in forming hypotheses, facilitating user research, using data science insights, synthesizing research and data, and translating insights into strategic design opportunities.
• Highly effective communication and the ability to align cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders and executives through meetings, workshops, decision framing, validation, and checkpoints.
• Demonstrated success mentoring designers and elevating team output quality and impact.
• Deep prototyping skills with Figma and AI tools, including hands-on use of AI development tools for product alignment, experimentation, and design exploration.
• Expertise in scalable flows, component design, cohesive design systems, and system-level design thinking.
• Strong ability to simplify complex workflows across multiple roles, systems, and edge cases; experience designing across desktop and mobile surfaces.
• Solid motion design experience using animation for status, transitions, feedback, clarity, and delight; a degree equivalent to a four-year degree or Bachelor’s degree.
