Virtual Specialized Education Instructor (Special Education, Colorado)

Location: Remote, United States; role serving students in Colorado. Availability required during school hours, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.

Compensation: starting at $38/hour for direct and indirect service time; 1099 opportunity.

What you will do

• Deliver legally compliant specially designed instruction and compensatory education services to students with active IEPs.
• Develop and implement data-driven, individualized lessons covering reading and literacy, foundational math, executive functioning, organizational strategies, and functional and adaptive life skills.
• Create, manage, and monitor student IEPs, including case management responsibilities.
• Collaborate with IEP teams, general education teachers, parents, and students to coordinate services and tailor instruction.
• Administer screenings, conduct progress monitoring, and complete formal outcome assessments to guide instructional decisions.

Requirements

• Active special education teaching license or certification in Colorado.
• School-based experience providing specially designed instruction and working effectively with diverse student populations.
• Exceptional collaborative communication skills for working with IEP teams, teachers, parents, and students.
• Proficiency in providing virtual services through meeting platforms and strong command of instructional technology.
• Dedicated private workspace with secure, high-speed internet, a reliable computer, and a webcam.
• Availability during traditional school hours and school days, Monday–Friday, with a minimum availability of 37.5 hours per week.
