Educational Consultant – Per Diem – Central Valley, CA (EdTech)

Location: Based in Central Valley, California; candidates must currently live there or be open to relocation to Central Valley. This is a hybrid role with required onsite district work and travel of up to 70%–80%, including overnight stays and transportation by car, plane, and/or public transportation. This is not a remote position.

Compensation: $30–$65 per hour, depending on the assigned work.

What you will do

• Facilitate professional development, product training, and support for teachers, coaches, and school administrators.
• Coordinate and deliver onsite training for Ready and i-Ready and adapt workshops to participant needs.
• Provide tailored instructional support, including lesson planning, pacing, and applying data to instruction.
• Help school leaders identify implementation successes and challenges and support equitable classroom outcomes.
• Participate in internal professional improvement through observation, feedback, and coaching.
• Track and submit detailed training notes, complete assignments on time, and maintain a professional image with customers and prospects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience teaching, coaching teachers, and providing professional development.
• Experience teaching at the secondary level, grades 6–12, is preferred for serving educators and students.
• Strong working knowledge of Common Core State Standards for grades K–8, including content and practice standards, or comparable state standards.
• Fluency with digital tools and online assessments, plus comfort discussing and applying data with teachers and leaders.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and their application to professional development.
• Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong time management, organizational skills, prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Excellent computer and internet skills, including Office programs such as Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an educational cohort; own transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of online meeting programs such as Zoom or WebEx.
• Bilingual skills.
