Educational Consultant - Per Diem - Salt Lake City, Utah (EdTech)

Location: Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, with hybrid work and required onsite district work; candidates must currently live in or be open to relocating to Salt Lake City. This is not a remote position. Travel up to 80% is required, including overnight stays and transportation by car, plane, and/or public transportation. A valid driver's license and personal transportation are required.

Salary: $35–$65 per hour, depending on the assigned work, including at-home or away-from-home assignments.

What you will do

• Become an expert in the company’s online diagnostic and instruction programs and Common Core products for grades K–8.
• Coordinate and deliver onsite product training and professional development for teachers, coaches, school administrators, and leaders.
• Adapt professional development workshops within specified parameters to meet participant needs.
• Provide tailored onsite support, including lesson planning, pacing guidance, data analysis, and instructional implementation support.
• Work with school leaders to identify implementation successes and challenges, while collaborating with the Senior Director of Professional Learning, sales team, and other professionals.
• Complete professional improvement activities, training notes, assignments, and customer-facing communications in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in teaching, coaching teachers, and providing professional development. Experience teaching at the secondary 6–12 level is preferred for serving educators and students.
• Strong working knowledge of Common Core State Standards for grades K–8, or comparable state standards, including content and practice standards.
• Fluency with digital tools, including online assessments, and comfort discussing and applying data with teachers and leaders.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and their application to professional development and learning objectives.
• Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Exceptional time management, prioritization, organization, and attention to detail.
• Excellent computer and internet skills, including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an educational cohort.
• Valid driver’s license, personal transportation, and ability to travel up to 80% are required.

Nice to have

• Experience teaching at the secondary 6–12 level.
• Knowledge of online meeting programs such as Zoom or WebEx.
• Bilingual ability.
