Architectural Designer II (PreK-12)

Location: Addison, Texas, US; hybrid environment with regular in-office days and travel to project sites for client, project, and construction meetings.

Salary: $38.45–$50.00 hourly.

What you will do

• Assist Project Architects and project teams with architectural design and technical delivery from early design through construction, primarily for PreK-12 Education projects.
• Apply Revit and BIM workflows, project standards, and documentation practices to communicate design intent with limited direction.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and project disciplines using Revizto and participate in project meetings and technical reviews.
• Support code research, material and product research, discipline work plans, submittal reviews, bidding, and construction administration.
• Assist with staff direction, project delivery strategies, and mentoring or delegating work to junior team members.
• Manage tasks on Concept Board and support quality and project performance across project phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Architecture, four-year degree required.
• Minimum three years of experience in the A/E industry required.
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM/Revit required.
• Familiarity with and experience navigating building codes.
• Fundamental understanding of coordination aspects and related requirements across all design disciplines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
• Ability to work well with others under deadline situations, desire to learn staff motivation and mentoring, and ability to delegate work assignments.
• Commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and desire to use critical thinking skills for growth and positive impact.
• Ability to travel to and access existing and new project sites for meetings, observation, investigation, and evaluation, and ability to use communication and documentation equipment.
