Structural BIM Technician (Revit)

Location: Full-time onsite, office-based in Cheyenne, WY; Denver, CO; Rapid City, SD; or Sioux Falls, SD, United States.

Salary: $27 per hour, depending on experience and expertise.

What you will do

• Model wood, steel, concrete, and masonry structures using BIM software.
• Produce plans, elevations, details, and accurate construction documentation.
• Use Revit primarily, along with Autodesk Forma, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu, to digitally prototype and document designs.
• Visualize complex structures, identify spatial conflicts, and support coordination across engineering disciplines.
• Curate and maintain the BIM and CADD library, including support files.
• Progressively develop structural BIM production, Revit modeling, drafting standards, and project-specific procedures with training and guidance.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or higher in engineering or architectural drafting, or a directly related degree, from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in BIM and CAD software, specifically Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Interest in emerging technologies.
• Strong visualization skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in collaborative team settings.
• Ability to interpret written, verbal, and visual direction.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to operate a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, or other CAD/BIM software through education, internships, or previous work experience.
• Basic understanding of structural systems, including foundations, steel, concrete, masonry, and wood framing.
• Familiarity with construction documents or structural engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and commonly used project-management or document-management software.
