MEP CAD/BIM Designer

Location: San Jose, CA, USA; on-site. Minimal travel to local sites may be required.

Salary: $32–$48 USD per hour, plus eligibility for performance-based bonuses and equity participation.

What you will do

• Assist engineers throughout the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design process.
• Generate complete construction drawings in accordance with company standards.
• Set up projects and file systems.
• Coordinate work with multiple disciplines and departments.
• Verify and measure field conditions, including occasional visits to local sites.

Requirements

• AS, BS, or trade school certification in drafting and design, or related CADD training.
• At least 3 years of working experience.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD 2018 or newer, MEP Revit modeling, and Revu BlueBeam.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Accuracy and attention to detail for high-quality workmanship.
• Time-management skills to handle requests and prioritize tasks.
• Verbal and written communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and take ownership of assignments.
• Interpersonal skills for working with different departments.
