Project Manager Lead (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid, with three days in-office and two days virtual, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Jacksonville, Florida; or Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

What you will do

• Lead large-scale debit processing and card management projects from initiation through implementation, managing scope, timelines, budgets, quality, and business objectives.
• Coordinate client onboarding, conversions, and platform migrations for new and existing debit processing customers.
• Manage implementation activities covering card management applications, authorization processing, settlement, network connectivity, card issuance support, and operational workflows.
• Partner with clients, product, technology, operations, vendors, and other third-party stakeholders.
• Maintain project plans and manage risks, dependencies, resources, stakeholder communications, and executive reporting.
• Mentor or train junior project managers and support staff when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, business administration, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Typically at least 8 years of experience within the debit payments ecosystem, including debit or card processing, transaction authorization, network interfaces, card lifecycle management, and technology solutions.
• Experience implementing or managing card management applications and supporting end-to-end client onboarding, conversions, or platform migrations.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while coordinating cross-functional teams, vendors, and client stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management practices, budget oversight, and executive-level stakeholder communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with debit network integrations, fraud programs, ATM and EFT transaction processing, card issuance platforms, or digital payment solutions.
• Familiarity with payment industry standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends affecting debit and card processing services.
• Project Management Professional certification and advanced project management software skills.
