Director, Supply Chain (Manufacturing)

Location: Somerset, New Jersey, United States; onsite role supporting capital equipment manufacturing across global sites and operations in the US and Asia.

Salary: $156,000–$198,000 per year, plus bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Lead Supply Chain and Operations business processes for capital equipment manufacturing across global sites.
• Develop commodity strategies to support operational scaling across the US and Asia and align operations with corporate objectives and customer requirements.
• Identify and mitigate obsolete parts and materials risks, source replacements, and manage lifecycle transitions with engineering and supply chain managers.
• Analyze workflows, implement lean practices, establish KPIs, and partner with IT to develop automation solutions.
• Define and enforce policies for sourcing, quality, and supplier performance while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and industry standards.
• Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, risk assessment, change management, strategic supplier relationships, and supply chain staff training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of supply chain leadership experience within capital equipment or complex manufacturing.
• Expertise in obsolescence management, supplier development, and process optimization.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP, and supplier collaboration platforms such as Ariba.
• 5+ years of experience managing people.
• Strategic thinking and execution, risk management, problem-solving, supplier relationship management, change leadership, and training delivery.
