Inventory Control Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Battleboro, NC, United States. Full-time, weekday day shift, onsite.

What you will do

• Manage inventory levels to maintain product availability while minimizing overstock and stockouts.
• Oversee receiving, storage, movement, distribution, returns, and material handling activities.
• Develop and maintain inventory control procedures that improve accuracy, efficiency, and cost control.
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory audits, reconcile discrepancies, and report inventory metrics such as turnover, shrinkage, stock levels, and accuracy.
• Maintain inventory and stock movement data in inventory management systems, including SAP, and train team members on inventory processes and SAP usage.
• Partner with Purchasing, Supply Chain Planning, Operations, Finance, Sales, Quality, and warehouse teams on demand planning, SKU optimization, customer claims, layout optimization, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in inventory management, supply chain, logistics, or warehouse operations.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar tools for reporting and data analysis.
• Experience with inventory management systems, ERP, or WMS platforms; SAP experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of inventory control processes, stock accuracy, cycle counts, and warehouse operations.
• Ability to support warehouse layout optimization for improved storage efficiency, accessibility, and material flow.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
• Inventory or supply chain certification such as CPIM or CSCP.
• Transferable experience with Oracle, AS400, or HighJump.
• Experience with Lean, 6S, Six Sigma, or project management methodologies.
