Analyst, Medical Economics & Analytics (Healthcare)

Location: New York, New York; hybrid schedule with 3 days a week in the office. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Annual salary: $80,000–$90,000 for NYC-based applicants, plus potential cash bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Develop dashboards and recurring reports to track KPIs, identify trends, evaluate outcomes, and recommend improvements.
• Conduct analytical projects from investigation through delivery, troubleshoot challenges, recommend solutions, and ensure accurate and timely results.
• Use Excel, SQL, Power BI, and other tools to support stakeholder initiatives and operations.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Member Services, Provider Services, and Data Engineering.
• Present analytical insights to managers, directors, and stakeholders across internal departments.
• Improve workflows, automate manual processes, and increase operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in healthcare, insurance, consulting, analytics, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong SQL skills, including querying and analyzing large datasets of 30M+ rows.
• Experience using Visual Studio Code or a similar development environment to develop, maintain, and automate analytical solutions.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, or Looker.
• Familiarity with healthcare and insurance terminology, employer benefits, and claims data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, time-management, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to take ownership, work independently, balance competing priorities, meet deadlines, navigate ambiguity, collaborate, build relationships, and maintain data accuracy through thorough validation.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI-enabled tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, or similar tools to accelerate analysis or workflows.
