Solutions Engineering Manager (AI/Manufacturing)

Location: Somerville, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid work environment with office attendance 3+ days per week; travel up to 25%

Salary: $125,000–$155,000 per year across US locations

What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of Solutions Engineers through weekly 1:1s, quarterly goals, ongoing feedback, performance conversations, and individual growth plans.
• Spend approximately half of the time hands-on delivering customer projects and setting standards for app design, integration quality, and best practices.
• Own delivery quality and results, including utilization, time to first value, customer satisfaction, and escalation management.
• Partner with Sales and the Head of Professional Services on customer discovery, scoping, effort estimates, statements of work, margin, and feasibility.
• Plan team capacity and staffing, and support recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Pilot AI-enabled delivery on live customer projects and share reusable assets and lessons with the global Professional Services team.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of experience in solutions engineering, implementation, or technical consulting with manufacturing or industrial customers.
• Deep expertise building composable apps and integrations on Tulip or a comparable no-code platform, including debugging complex solutions built by others.
• Experience leading customer discovery and scoping, estimating effort, and communicating project risk to plant and executive stakeholders.
• At least 1 year of people management experience, including coaching, performance conversations, and helping team members grow.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated industries such as life sciences.
• Experience using AI tools to speed up solution delivery.
