Engineering Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Palo Alto, California, United States, with in-person collaboration in the Palo Alto office Monday through Wednesday.

Salary: $190K–$225K base pay annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Lead technical strategy and actively code, review, and architect solutions for a Growth engineering team.
• Build scalable, reliable, and extensible customer-facing systems using React, TypeScript, and AWS.
• Integrate Claude Code and other LLM harnesses into daily engineering workflows to improve experimentation, delivery speed, and code quality.
• Partner with product management and data teams on technical roadmaps for acquisition, activation, and retention initiatives.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop engineers through human-led and AI-augmented professional development.
• Maintain observability, stability, and rigorous quality standards for experiments and product features.

Requirements

• 3+ years of formal engineering management experience leading a team of engineers.
• Proven full-stack development expertise with React, TypeScript, and AWS, including services such as Lambda, ECS, and RDS.
• Demonstrated ability to use LLM-integrated agents, specifically Claude Code, to improve SDLC speed and code quality.
• Proven experience delivering customer-facing SaaS products with a focus on metrics-driven growth, conversion, and user experience.
• Ability to translate complex technical and AI-related trade-offs into actionable plans for leadership and cross-functional partners.
