PMO Manager (Security & GRC)

Location: Remote; United States of America; Chicago - 550 Van Buren

Salary: $140,000–$190,000 base annually; total estimated compensation including annual incentive compensation: $168,000–$228,000

What you will do

• Administer the project management framework, processes, tools, templates, and reporting for Corporate Security and GRC programs.
• Manage the full lifecycle of portfolios, programs, and projects, including scope, business cases, requirements, timelines, plans, resources, budgets, risks, and issues.
• Track delivery, milestones, deadlines, metrics, dashboards, and status reporting while escalating blockers and providing executive-level visibility.
• Coordinate with Corporate Security and GRC teams, senior leaders, managers, subject matter experts, staff, and business lines including Global Products, Healthcare, Education, and Digital.
• Help incorporate fundamental security and GRC practices into projects and promote security and compliance best practices.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree and project management certification such as PMP, or an advanced academic degree in project management.
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience in project or program management, preferably in a large company or consulting firm.
• Experience managing large and small portfolios, programs, and projects, including audits and implementation of security best practices across geographies and functional areas using an industry-standard methodology such as PMBOK or Prince2.
• Understanding of basic cybersecurity and GRC practices.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills for technical and business audiences.
• Experience with Smartsheet, MS Project, SharePoint, ADO, or similar tools.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with deep understanding of Agile approaches including SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, or Lean and their practical application in project management.
• Ability to absorb technical information within limited timeframes.
• Flexibility to work hours that may involve engaging with teams outside normal business hours.
• Customer-oriented, resourceful, and enthusiastic approach.

Nice to have

• Agile certifications.
• Analytical problem-solving skills, including analyzing datasets and presenting information to support senior management decision-making.
• Security certifications such as CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or similar.
• Deeper understanding of network security, cloud security, information risk management, privacy, regulatory compliance, vulnerability management, DLP, endpoint security, security operations/SOC, and third-party risk management.
• Experience with process automation and optimization.
