Advisory Manager - Cyber Strategy (Cybersecurity)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid workstyle aligned to an hirify.global office

Salary: $98,000–$180,400 per year, plus discretionary bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Lead large-scale cybersecurity assessments, remediation programs, and technology implementations from mobilization through operational transition.
• Develop integrated plans covering cybersecurity strategy, governance, risk and compliance, cloud, digital identity, data protection, resilience, security operations, and technology implementation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across hirify.global, clients, vendors, and distributed delivery centers.
• Serve as the day-to-day client leader for CISOs, CIOs, risk and compliance leaders, sponsors, and workstream owners.
• Manage scope, budgets, staffing, schedules, quality, risks, issues, dependencies, and change control.
• Lead steering committees, status reviews, workshops, executive readouts, deliverable development, and team coaching.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale, multi-workstream assessments, transformations, or implementations for complex organizations.
• Experience managing integrated program plans, budgets, resources, dependencies, risks, issues, deliverables, and executive reporting.
• Strong cybersecurity advisory experience across areas such as cyber risk, governance and compliance, resilience, third-party risk, cloud security, digital identity, data protection, security operations, or GRC technology.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity and regulatory frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, FFIEC, GLBA, DORA, PCI DSS, HIPAA/HITECH, or comparable requirements.
• Ability to build trusted client relationships and communicate technical and regulatory issues to executive and technical audiences.
• Ability to travel up to 30% based on client and engagement needs.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information systems, computer science, business, risk management, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of relevant cybersecurity, technology risk, consulting, or program delivery experience.
• Experience with financial services organizations, private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, M&A, or multi-entity programs.
• Experience with ServiceNow, AuditBoard, Archer, MetricStream, OneTrust, SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, Microsoft, AWS, or Azure.
• CISSP, CISA, CISM, PMP, CAPM, PgMP, SAFe, Agile, or comparable certification.
