Sr Life Underwriting Business Systems Analyst (Life Insurance)

Location: Work From Home, USA; remote environment.

Salary: $85,000–$100,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus of 10%.

What you will do

• Support life underwriting transformation initiatives focused on modernization, automation, process improvement, and operational excellence.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements, translating underwriting needs into clear requirements for technical teams.
• Document current-state processes and create business process models using business process modeling techniques and tools.
• Develop or revise processes and procedures, analyze system logic, research business opportunities, and prepare recommendations for management.
• Support project delivery through solution analysis, test scenarios and criteria, test cases, test-plan reviews, implementation, and post-launch activities.
• Coordinate business readiness, training, knowledge transfer, stakeholder communications, and collaboration across underwriting, operations, product, technology, QA, distribution, training, project management, and vendor organizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience, preferably in IT or a business discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in business systems analysis.
• Two years of experience managing technical projects in a complex environment.

Nice to have

• Two to four years of industry experience.
• Working knowledge of life insurance products, underwriting processes, and operational workflows.
• At least two years of underwriting experience within hirify.global or at least two years supporting an enhanced underwriting project.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, organizational, communication, presentation, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and address issues quickly and professionally.
• High degree of initiative and accountability.
