Sr Systems Analyst

Location: National remote; may be performed remotely anywhere within the continental United States, excluding California, New York, Alaska, and Hawaii. Work-from-home role.

Base pay: $92,700.00–$167,500.00 annually, with eligibility for an annual incentive bonus plan.

What you will do

• Support enhancements and new capabilities for a critical business application in the Claims portfolio.
• Perform systems analysis and build a backlog of functional, non-functional, and systems requirements for developers.
• Conduct and facilitate requirements, design, and code reviews, including creation of system designs.
• Help plan and coordinate SIT and UAT testing and application releases.
• Collaborate with business analysts, business owners, QA, architects, developers, product managers, project managers, and other IT stakeholders.
• Support application operations, production incidents, ad-hoc requests, integrations, and data movement across distributed applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Information Technology experience, or technical certification and/or college courses with 6 years of Information Technology experience, or 8 years of Information Technology experience.
• Knowledge of application configuration and Claims processing components.
• Experience defining and managing requirements, creating system designs, rapid prototyping, system performance management, and supporting robust, high-performing applications.
• Knowledge of Big Data Analytics technologies including HAVeN, Hadoop, Autonomy, or Vertica.
• Knowledge of cloud computing, SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS technologies.
• Knowledge of integration technologies including Tibco, Informatica, or CAS, and service-oriented architecture using SOAP or REST.
• Knowledge of mobile technologies including PhoneGap, iOS, Android, Java, or HTML5, and web technologies including HTML, CSS, Java, ASP.NET, PHP, Ruby, or C#.
• Knowledge of scripting languages including Bash, Perl, Python, or Ruby.
• Knowledge of SDLC methodologies including Agile, Scrum, or iterative development, with conceptual thinking, creative thinking, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and strong oral and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of current and emerging technologies applied to business applications, including integrations and data movement with distributed applications.
• Experience with data integration, data mapping, and transformation.
• Ability to create detailed designs and resolve operational or production incidents within tight timeframes.
• Knowledge of application development platforms and languages including Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Knowledge of Jira, Jenkins, GitHub, Sonar, and Java applications.
• Experience with deep systems analysis, application development, Agile SDLC, data, and integration on modern application development platforms.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively through change.
