Auto First Party Medical Claim Representative

Location: Hybrid; NY - Buffalo, with other location NY - Albany; United States of America

Annual base salary: $62,300.00–$102,800.00, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Review, investigate, document, and resolve Auto First Party Medical claims from first notice of loss through settlement and payment.
• Gather information from eligible parties, medical providers, attorneys, and internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate coverage, causation, damages, medical necessity, treatment plans, wage loss, and claim exposures.
• Manage medical treatment and payments using case management and medical resources as needed.
• Determine settlement amounts, negotiate settlements, and communicate professionally with claimants, providers, attorneys, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate claim records, adopt AI and digital tools, and obtain required insurance licenses within three months of starting.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of auto claim handling experience, comparable claim experience, or successful completion of the required hirify.global Claim Representative training program.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Two years of auto claim handling experience.
• Active adjuster license where applicable.
• Proficiency in claims management software, Microsoft Office, and enterprise technology systems and platforms.
• Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, judgment, decision-making, conflict resolution, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, handle stress and difficult situations, maintain professionalism, and apply learning to new situations.
• Basic understanding of insurance principles and terminology, state insurance regulations, and claim handling requirements.
