BI Analytics Engineer (SQL)

What you will do

• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting for Board of Directors meetings, investor materials, executive reviews, and leadership meetings.
• Own the data and analysis behind key company metrics and translate business performance into clear executive-ready insights and visualizations.
• Develop recurring reporting for revenue, margin, EBITDA, operating expenses, headcount, sales, customer performance, and other financial and operational metrics.
• Support actuals-versus-budget-versus-forecast reporting and partner with Finance to maintain accurate, consistent reporting aligned with financial statements and planning.
• Establish KPI definitions and a single source of truth, while improving how leaders access and consume data across Sales, Operations, CX, Finance, and People.
• Investigate performance changes, reconcile data across systems, resolve data quality issues, and automate repeatable reporting and analysis.

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, strategic finance, FP&A, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large or complex datasets.
• Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills.
• Experience building dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or a similar BI platform.
• Strong understanding of financial and operational metrics, with exceptional attention to detail and a high bar for data accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and take ambiguous questions from idea through analysis to executive-ready output.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex data clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with semantic data layers.

• Experience supporting a CEO, CFO, Strategy team, or executive leadership team.
• Experience with Board or investor reporting.
• Experience in FP&A or financial reporting.
• Experience in a high-growth technology, logistics, e-commerce, or SaaS company.
• Experience working with data warehouses and modern data stacks.
• Experience automating recurring reporting.
• Python or other analytical programming experience.
• Strong understanding of how financial, operational, and commercial metrics connect.
