Power BI Developer

Location: Remote - US; the posting also lists Georgia, United States.

Salary: USD $80,000–$90,000 per year; final determination depends on skills, qualifications, and approved funding.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, visualizations, and geospatial reporting.
• Gather stakeholder requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into scalable, user-friendly reporting solutions.
• Develop and support semantic models, reporting datasets, enterprise data models, data quality, and reporting performance using Power Query, DAX, SQL, and Dataverse.
• Support Dataverse configuration, including tables, relationships, business rules, and security.
• Support Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, SQL Server, API, and other enterprise integrations, as well as Power Platform governance, security, and environment administration.
• Participate in Agile delivery, product enhancements, testing, documentation, user support, and evaluation of emerging Power Platform and AI capabilities, including Copilot.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and Workspace Apps.
• Experience with Power Query M, DAX, SQL statements and/or Azure SQL, data modeling, and semantic models.
• Experience supporting business intelligence solutions across data acquisition, transformation, dashboard development, deployment, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, or Dataverse.
• Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems and supporting reporting modernization efforts.
• Experience working in Agile environments using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Power Platform architecture, governance, security, and best practices, including accessibility testing and remediation such as U.S. government Section 508 compliance.
• Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
• Bachelor's degree.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Dataverse solutions, including data modeling, security, and integrations.
• Experience implementing role-based Row-Level Security in Power BI reports.
• Experience with Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, or SharePoint-based solutions.
• Experience with geospatial reporting tools, Copilot, or other AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience supporting federal, public health, grants management, or data modernization programs.
• Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 or PL-400.
