Product Owner (Fintech)

Salary: $123,600–$206,000 annual (USD)

What you will do

• Own the vision and roadmap for a large product or set of products, aligning priorities with business strategy and communicating direction to stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Represent customer needs, make autonomous product decisions, write user stories, prioritize and groom backlogs, and define acceptance criteria.
• Partner with delivery teams to track and communicate product progress and participate in agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate across teams and with other Product Owners to align customer journeys and dependent backlogs.
• Use customer engagement, analytics, and design thinking to focus on outcomes and inform product design.
• Apply risk, regulatory, audit, and internal control standards while influencing stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of business, analytical, technical, and/or product experience; or, in lieu of a degree, at least 10 years of combined higher education and/or work experience, including at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to manage activities through influence, accountability, and ownership in an agile environment; no direct management responsibility is required.
• Ability to prioritize across competing priorities and a rapidly changing landscape.
• Ability to seek multiple opinions, make independent decisions, and influence positive outcomes.
• Knowledge of product design and development best practices, Agile and Lean principles, and practices.
• Ability to partner with user experience teams on product design and understand customer needs.
• Ability to develop or manage digital capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and subject matter expertise required by the assigned product.
