Technical Implementation Lead (API)

Easyship provides multi-carrier shipping software for global eCommerce, connecting brands with courier services and international shipping infrastructure.

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery with Enterprise and Strategic Sales, mapping customer systems, data flows, constraints, and product fit.
• Own solution design for API, custom app, and tailored implementations, including architecture, endpoints, webhooks, authentication, and data mapping.
• Scope and sign off Statements of Work covering deliverables, go-live dates, shipment volumes, and support terms.
• Resolve customer and internal technical questions by reproducing issues in Postman or Insomnia and analyzing requests, responses, and logs.
• Lead technical kick-offs, manage multiple implementations through go-live and volume migration, and track milestones, risks, dependencies, escalations, and change requests.
• Partner with Solutions Developers, lead handovers to CSM and Customer Support, govern custom builds, document recurring questions, and communicate product gaps to Product and Engineering.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical implementation, solutions architecture, or a similar technical customer-facing role, including implementations for an enterprise SaaS product.
• Expert hands-on command of REST APIs, webhooks, integration patterns, and authentication methods including OAuth 2.0, SSO, and API keys.
• Fluency with JSON, data mapping, and SQL, with confidence using Postman or Insomnia.
• Structured troubleshooting experience across HTTP status codes, rate limits, error handling, retries, and logs.
• Understanding of how eCommerce platforms, ERP systems, and warehouse systems integrate with shipping services.
• Confidence communicating with technical and non-technical senior stakeholders, forming recommendations, and gaining agreement.
• Experience writing Statements of Work, running multiple implementations simultaneously, and maintaining scope and pricing boundaries.
• Ability to use AI effectively, review agent-generated work, and translate it into plain language.
• Excellent technical documentation skills and strong written and verbal English.

• Python or JavaScript experience.
• Logistics or eCommerce experience.
• Experience implementing Shopify, Squarespace, Celigo, or Zapier.
• Prior Easyship experience.
