IT Solutions Architect (ServiceNow ITAM)

Location: Remote, must reside in the Continental US; up to 10% associated travel.

What you will do

• Gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into IT Asset Management solution designs using ServiceNow SAM and HAM.
• Architect end-to-end software and hardware asset lifecycle solutions covering licensing compliance, procurement, and disposal.
• Design, configure, customize, and integrate ServiceNow SAM and HAM workflows, data structures, reports, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with developers, administrators, IT teams, vendors, and software publishers to implement and operate ITAM solutions.
• Assess existing ITAM processes, monitor solution performance, analyze metrics, and recommend continuous improvements.
• Provide technical guidance, training, knowledge sharing, and subject-matter expertise on ITAM, licensing, standards, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and/or military experience; Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related degree is preferred.
• 5–8 years of proven experience as an IT Solutions Architect focused on IT Asset Management, including expertise implementing ServiceNow SAM and HAM.
• In-depth knowledge of ITAM principles, best practices, and industry standards.
• Strong understanding of software and hardware asset lifecycles, licensing models, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in ServiceNow administration, configuration, and customization for SAM and HAM modules.
• Experience designing and implementing end-to-end ITAM solutions, including integrations with other IT systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to translate business requirements into ITAM designs and collaborate with technical teams, business users, and vendors.
• Project management skills to drive ITAM initiatives, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
• Self-motivated and proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and staying current with ITAM trends and technologies.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow HAM and SAM certifications.
• ITIL certification.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
