ServiceNow Architect (ServiceNow)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; the role supports a Washington, D.C.-based team. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $150,000–$170,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize scalable ServiceNow solutions aligned with business and IT requirements.
• Lead solution design, technical planning, phased deployments, upgrades, and performance optimization.
• Develop custom applications and extend ServiceNow modules using App Engine, Flow Designer, scripting, and platform configuration.
• Integrate ServiceNow with external systems and third-party applications while maintaining secure data flows.
• Manage workflows, data migrations, testing, code reviews, deployment planning, and technical documentation.
• Mentor developers, guide stakeholders, troubleshoot technical issues, and drive continuous platform improvement.

Requirements

• Active Secret or higher security clearance; candidates must possess or be able to obtain a Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification and 5+ years of experience as a ServiceNow Architect or in a similar role.
• Expertise in ServiceNow integrations, custom development, troubleshooting, ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, Security Operations, Service Catalog, and Reporting.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow data models, workflows, JavaScript, REST APIs, HTML, CSS, data security, and integration security protocols.
• Experience with ServiceNow upgrades, performance optimization, scalability best practices, Agile, and DevOps methodologies.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and independent working skills in a remote environment.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification or equivalent.
• Experience with AWS or Azure.
• Experience with Jira, Jenkins, and GitHub.
