Principal Architect (Service Delivery & Operations)

Location: Remote eligible; role associated with Anchorage, Alaska, United States

Salary: $116,683–$194,472 per year

What you will do

• Define and advance architecture direction for order-to-activate, fulfillment, provisioning, assurance, billing, support, and OSS/BSS capabilities.
• Develop current-state assessments, target-state architectures, transition states, and technology roadmaps.
• Create architecture models, standards, patterns, reference designs, principles, and non-functional requirements.
• Lead architecture reviews, governance forums, risk management, dependency planning, and technology rationalization.
• Partner with product, engineering, delivery, operations, and leadership teams to guide planning, design, implementation, and operationalization.
• Improve architecture practices, reusable assets, mentoring, knowledge sharing, and AI-enabled automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, data management, cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience across at least two architecture or technology disciplines.
• Experience leading complex architecture initiatives and guiding cross-functional teams.
• Expertise in architecture modeling, systems design and integration, strategy and roadmap development, governance, standards, technology lifecycle planning, and risk management.
• Ability to work assigned shifts in a standard office or home-office setting and respond to urgent situations outside core business hours when necessary.

Nice to have

• 10–12 years of experience and an advanced degree, MBA, or recognized architecture or executive-level expertise.
• Telecommunications or role-specific certifications.
• TOGAF, FEAC, Open CA, CITA, SABSA, CCAr, cloud, security, Agile, or SAFe certifications.
