Technical Business Analyst (AI)

What you will do

• Serve as the primary client contact from kickoff through delivery, leading status meetings, demos, executive updates, and relationship management.
• Own end-to-end delivery plans across AI, data, application, and reporting workstreams, including milestones, dependencies, risks, deliverables, scope changes, and escalations.
• Coordinate engineering, data, QA, and cloud teams, clarify ownership, support planning and onboarding, and maintain alignment on priorities and capacity.
• Lead business analysis for reporting and analytics by gathering requirements and translating business questions into KPIs, metric definitions, and functional specifications.
• Implement reporting in Looker, including data modeling, LookML development, dashboard and Explore design, semantic-layer validation, and report performance and accuracy checks.
• Own user acceptance testing and documentation, and identify opportunities for conversational analytics, natural-language querying, and AI-generated insights.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, client relationship management, consultative ownership, ethical and critical thinking, and the ability to translate technical details into business value.
• Strong organizational, time-management, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and leadership skills, including the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and operate in a high-paced, stressful environment.
• Strong SQL skills and a good understanding of Agile, cloud-native architectures, APIs, CI/CD, and data platforms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, Confluence, and Lucidchart.
• 5+ years of experience delivering technology projects in a client-facing or consulting environment.
• 3+ years of experience as a technical business analyst or in a hands-on BI/reporting role, including requirements gathering, data modeling, and dashboard development.
• Proven experience owning delivery outcomes, timelines, and client relationships while managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with competing priorities.
• Experience working with cloud data warehouses and semantic layers.

Nice to have

• Background in software engineering, data engineering, cloud infrastructure, or a related field.
• Experience delivering AI/ML or analytics-driven solutions.
• Hands-on Looker experience, including LookML development, Explores, and dashboard design.
• Experience applying AI and LLM capabilities to analytics and reporting, including Gemini in Looker, conversational analytics, or AI-generated insights.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud, including BigQuery, Azure, or AWS.
• PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification.
